Whether you need puppy classes that build social skills and lay the groundwork for your puppy to learn, or basic manners, or a brush-up or have aggression or anxiety issues, Lysa Bea has solutions for you!   Private in-home training; Daycare & Train; Board & Train; and Rehabilitation Programs are also available.

We offer the following training programs:

Kindergarten (aka puppy) Class
Designed for puppies from 8 weeks to 6 months or for rescue dogs with little no skills. This class concentrates on Potty Training, Jumping, Chewing, Barking/Crying and puppy biting/mouthing plus Beginning Manners & Personal Care! Meets for 45 minutes once per week for 5 weeks and costs $150. Click here for class dates and times.

Elementary Class
Designed for dogs or older puppies that have completed the Kindergarten class; or those that have some skills or have completed a puppy class elsewhere. 
Meets for 45 minutes once per week for 8 weeks and costs $200.
Includes:
Treat Training – when & how to treat and the proper way to take a treat from anyone.
Wait – Waiting at doorways, entryways, etc.
Walk – Walk nicely with you on leash.
Recall – Coming when called.
Focus – The one word to get the dog’s attention.
Leave It – Your dog will ignore anything you wish to be left alone.
Sit & Stay – We will begin the stay process.
Down & Stay – Laying down on command with stay.
Stand & Stay – Standing for examination until release.
Greeting people – Greeting people is much more fun if we don’t act out of control!
How to behave in public – take your dog with you anywhere dogs are allowed!
Personal Care – Selecting the proper grooming tools, dental tools, toys & bedding – what, when, how, where & why.

Junior High Class
Further develops the skills learned in the Elementary class plus hand signals, beginning remote training and prepares your dog to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test. We will concentrate on developing your dog’s skills in any environment and with reliability regardless of distraction! High School Class
For those individuals who wish to develop their dog’s skills for off leash work. Be able to command your dog at a distance, anywhere & anytime! High School is an 8 week program for $300. Click here for class dates and times.

Open Learning
When you just need to brush up your dog’s skills and learn a few new ones.
Come to one class or come every week, you can never get enough training! 
Cost: $30 per 45 minutes.

Mommy, Baby & Dog
Teaches the owner how to get your dog ready for your new baby, successfully!
Meets for 45 minutes once per week for 5 weeks and costs $150.00.

Private Lessons
Training or Nutrition: 1-hour orientation/evaluation required, training will take place at Chasin’ Our Tails facility.$65 per hour.

Private Counseling
In-Home: 2-hour orientation/evaluation required (scheduled directly with trainer) and the training is done is the comfort and privacy of your own home!  $100 per hour.

Nutrition
How good nutrition can prolong your fuzzy friend’s life and may allow you to spend less money at the veterinarian! Learn how to select dog food, which supplements are essential and achieve optimum wellness...including weight control! Meets once for 2 hours and costs $40.

Essential Oils
Beyond Aromatherapy, the science of essential oils! Learn how they work, how to use them and which oils to use & how to use them on your dog. Meets once for 2 hours and costs $40.

Our Fast Track Programs offer accelerated learning for your dog and for you!
Accelerated learning is done in half the time, one-on-one training for your dog
5-7 days a week directly with the trainer. Separate one-on-one training for the owner develops those critical leadership skills. Maximum results in the shortest time frames and still at affordable rates:

Daycare & Train Fast Track:
$1,200 per 4 week all inclusive package when dog is scheduled for Daycare 5 days per week. Available for Elementary & Junior High levels only, 4 weeks required per level! Owner must agree to the following:

• Attend an orientation
• Spend 15 minutes of home practice every day plus 2 - 20 minute leash walks per day
• A 10-15 minute private consultation with the trainer at time of pick up daily
• Attend the 3 week accelerated learning class once per week starting the second week of program

Our trainer works with your dog every day at daycare to build new skills and strengthen known skills.

Board & Train Fast Track:
$1,800 per 2 week all inclusive Board & Train package when dog is scheduled for Boarding for 2 weeks. Available for Elementary & Junior High levels only, 2 weeks required per level! Owner must agree to the following:

• Schedule a 1-2 hour in-home evaluation prior to dog’s boarding stay
• Schedule 4 private lessons after the dog’s board & train stay is completed, either in-home or in-facility
• Maintain practice at home with the dog for a minimum of 15 minutes per day, with at least 2 leash walks per day

About Holistic Paws Academy and our trainer:

Holistic Paws Academy Founder Lysa Bea has been training dogs for over 30 years! She has spent the last 20 years researching canine behavior, psychology & sociology in both wild canine species as well as domesticated dogs. The past 10 years Lysa has been involved with the rescue and placement of over 150 homeless dogs, including co-founding Turbo Kees Foundation, Keeshond Rescue. Lysa’s research turned to nutrition over 10 years ago when two of her dogs required a special diet due to old age and allergies. All of this experience has given Lysa a unique perspective into the canine world. Realizing that dog training really consists of training dog owners; she has spent years and still continues to build phenomenal people skills.

Lysa Bea, a Holistic Canine Behavior & Nutritional Counselor, has designed a holistic dog training program that develops the whole dog. Maximum emphasis is placed on developing the dogs self control through teaching owners proper leadership. When we use proper communication, we nourish the body, enrich the mind and nurture the spirit! We help to create a happy, healthy, balanced dog and a satisfied owner.
